Brush Application:
Over a drop cloth, gently stir the Rust-Oleum's Chalked Paint. Using a high-quality synthetic paint brush, brush on one coat of the desired Chalked colour. Use light even brushstrokes to ensure even flow and the smoothest finish. The paint will be dry to the touch in 30 minutes, to handle in 1 hour, and can be re-coated after 2-4 hours. The finish coat is fully cured in 2-4 hours. It's recommended to apply Rust-Oleum Chalked Clear Protective Topcoat for added protection. Apply according to the label instructions.

Spray Application:
Shake the can of spray paint for 1 minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Over a drop cloth, start spraying your object with light, steady coats of paint making sure to start spraying off of the object and end off of the object for the most even coating. Hold the can upright 10-12" from the surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep the can the same distance from the surface and in motion while spraying. Apply 2 or more light coats a few minutes apart. Paint is dry  to the touch in 20 minutes and is dry to handle in 1 hour. May be re-coated in 1 hour or after 48 hours. The finish coat is fully dry in 24 hours. Chalked Clear Protective Topcoat can be applied for added protection.
