This recall involves the Rust-Oleum Varathane One Step Stain & Polyurethane - Dark Walnut, semi-gloss product with SKU Y240215H.  The SKU can be found just above the UPC bar code on the label.  The products affected by this recall have lot code W3N221 which is printed on the lid or the bottom of the can.

Issue

The recalled product does not meet the labelling requirements of the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001, under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. The lack of appropriate hazard labelling could result in unintentional exposure to the product and lead to serious illness or injury. As of June 6, 2025, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
