Personalize your summer picnic with an upcycled drink dispenser thanks to @HarlowandThistle!

If you’re a DIY’er you know the sense of accomplishment a spray paint project can provide. Here is a great project to update an old cooler drink dispenser. I love the way this project turned out and I couldn’t have done it without Rust-oleum.

Step 1: Before you start, clean your piece thoroughly with soap and warm water. Allow to dry.

Step 2: Lay down drop cloth and spray a light coat of primer onto the piece. Allow to dry for 10 minutes.

Step 3: Spray Universal Metallic Champagne Pink (or the colour of your choice) across the surface of the cooler (if the shade isn’t too much darker than the second, don’t worry about taping). Allow to dry.

Step 4: Tape off the areas you would like to protect and spray Universal Metallic Pure Gold on the cooler lid and spout. Allow to dry.

Step 5: Enjoy your Spray New Life project – and don’t forget to enter the contest!
