Paint your own ombre Christmas trees to give a modern twist to your holiday décor. See how groups of small trees in your favorite color palettes liven up your space this season.

  1. Apply white Rust-Oleum® Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Primer to each tree. Priming will result in better paint adhesion and more vibrant color. Follow the instructions on the can for best results. Let the primer dry for 30 minutes.
  2. Apply Rust-Oleum spray paint in your desired finish to each tree – 2X Ultra Cover® GlossMetallic and Bright Coat Metallic are all good options for this project. Following the directions on the can, spray light, even coats a few minutes apart to the area of the tree you want colored. To create the ombre effect, apply more coats where you'd like the darker portion of the color and gently spray lighter coats away from that point.
  3. Let the paint dry according to the timeframes printed on the cans.
  4. Display your ombre Christmas trees.
